… is cribbing another word for stealing? i’m sure he gives much credit and respect to prine… but you can’t fault an artist for having similar style to another artist who came first… todd has a lot to say too… and i’m sure john prine likes todd as well

words do not describe all the love and humbleness of brother johnson. he has been my pastor since coming to the Lord and I love him (brother Johnson and Jesus!) with all my heart. i am blessed beyond measure to call this great man of God my pastor and there is not a day that goes by that God brought me to his church! I love the Lord with all that I am and praise God for the anointing of Brother Johnson!

I have known Bro. Johnson since I was a kid going to Campmeeting in Olla, Louisiana back in the 60s and 70s. Such a pure voice and such anointing. What a preacher, also. My Dad lives in the Memhis area and gets to visit with Bro. Johnson on occasion. He admires Bro. Johnson and it is such a pleasure to him when he does. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, Bro. Johnson and God bless you.

I’ve been blessed by his Godly music a long time even though I’ve never met him in person. I used to play the organ for a young teenager who only sang Pastor Johnson’s songs. What a pleasure, easy, but so full of meaning and God always blessed. Annointed singing, preaching and song writing. Thank you!

Thanks for posting this. This is an almost forgotten one time fav. of mine. Bro. Johnson was such a blessing when he was in Canada as he speaks of here. Although many years have past it is wonderful to know he can still sing this song with conviction.

what a testimony- Praise the Lord.
I am glad to hear the original version of this song and the author as others have changed it to “I won’t complain” but however you say it the fact remains that it is God that is the central theme for this song and any thing that we go through. God sees us through a multitude of circumstances.
